I stayed in line and got to listen to our friends who are total Osmonds fans from before we where born get really embarrassed that she actually went up to ask him which Osmond he was. They couldn't remember. And then they kept telling me that we didn't know her anymore and all that ... which was very funny seeing how we're identical!Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01469088299336763196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7333740347958709251.post-52782892325897271452008-08-23T15:26:00.000-07:002008-08-23T15:26:00.000-07:00*cough cough* hahahahahaha*cough cough*

hahahahahahaEricahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09983658074925731041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7333740347958709251.post-26900107985409830692008-08-23T15:21:00.000-07:002008-08-23T15:21:00.000-07:00I saw your post at Matt's blog. He deserves to be loved and cared for. And he should hear it so he believes it!Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01469088299336763196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7333740347958709251.post-90903214476649460152008-08-23T14:08:00.000-07:002008-08-23T14:08:00.000-07:00I know someone who went to college with phelps. Feel free to come back anytime! :)

Yes, Helen... schedules really DO help a lot. R. has to follow her morning routine exactly the same way every morning, or she gets thrown off. My husband was diagnosed with ADHD at the same time as my daughter, and he's got to follow routines, too.

My son was also diagnosed, at the beginning of the last school year, but he's not as full-blown as my daughter. He only needs to take his meds on school days, to help with his organizational skills and focus. It helped him a lot.

Even though great strides have been made, there's still so many people who stigmatize those with ADHD, and think it's something a child can "get over". I can't tell you how many people have told me to discipline her better, or to give her a swat on the behind, or give her time outs. I wish more people would understand that this is a legitimate disorder, and that her brain is just wired differently than a "normal" person.

Oh, I could go on and on....Mama C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08205457051359664488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7333740347958709251.post-62350740176966814272008-08-23T09:16:00.000-07:002008-08-23T09:16:00.000-07:00My roommate's son is ADHD and will be 35 this mont...My roommate's son is ADHD and will be 35 this month. I've known him all his life and lived with him and his mom most of his life and I know the trials we all three have gone through. His mother was also a teacher and she had to fight with the small town school system where she taught because so little was known about ADHD back then. The major thing that works wonders is schedules. It seems to help him, even now, to have set times and perimeters. I could go on about this, but wanted to say we,also, have enjoyed watching Michael and learning about him and his mom and sisters.

Have a good weekend.

HelenReddirt Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08485995791439570214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7333740347958709251.post-2051512924961631212008-08-23T02:24:00.000-07:002008-08-23T02:24:00.000-07:00What a nice artikel, thanks for sharing :o)What a nice artikel, thanks for sharing :o)Lisbethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06432953369570429975noreply@blogger.com
