I accepted your tag. Thanks, I had kind of turned into a lurker for a while. Lots going on in my life right now. I can't write about it on my blog because my uncle took offense at some of the things I shared about my mom. Being about to write about what watching her decline brought up for me was one of the reasons I started blogging. I thought it would be good - for me and maybe others dealing with some of the same things. They felt the blog was too public. But I feel like I can't share a big part of ME in this situation. As a result, sometimes I just don't write anything. It's hard to come up with "fun" stuff when you are going through crap. In the last couple weeks, I have taken a trip that taught me I really can't mom on extended travels anymore. I've gotten a new grand son, had a granddaughter baptized and had my son go through some kind of melt-down. I didn't mean to abandon you during YOUR hard times. I was just treading water myself, trying to keep my nose above water. My mom has taken a another drop down in abilities and it's hard to deal with. She's lost her sense of smell and you wouldn't believe how many situations it impacts. Scent is a brain function and she doesn't have it any more. Alzheimer's is insidious. So - as I said at the beginning of this ridiculously long "comment" - thanks, sweetie.
